We ask that you be mindful of those adults living with the resuts of child abuse this year and please keep them in your prayers. Thank You.
All you can tell from the expression of each of these adults is that there is profound unhappiness but you cannot tell what hurt they endured that's causing them such anguish. Could it be incest, rape, excessive criticism, abandonment, rejection, neglect? Were they punished by being kept from school? Did a parent deny them, told them they were good for nothing, beat them excessively, neglect to provide proper supervision, affection, validation, protection and nurturing? Did the result of abuse leave them to deal with anger, depression and anxiety all on their own? Do they have anyone that they can talk to freely about what really happened and how they are feeling now? And do you think they should just get over it already and move on? How do you suggest survivors just move on?

Winsome Revelations on Letting Go
This is as good a time as any to reflect on dead areas in our lives to determine what changes need to be made to allow for new growth.
What are those hindrances preventing us from moving forward as stable, confident individuals? Some of these might be plain as day, easy to recognize and deal with; others may be in disguise therefore, far more crippling than the undesirable habits we are already aware of. Take clutter in the house for example: we often don’t stop to consider the effect clutter imposes on our life in general. Clutter on our desk, in our closets, in our garages, in our car and in our home is a clear indication of a life out of control because the mind is in chaos.
Taken from OUTSPOKEN Magazine Jan-Feb 2010
The theme for this issue is Getting Rid of Clutter; Letting go of the old to make room for new.
